History

In 1948, entrepreneur and chemist Paul Richard, with a fledgling health food and supplement business, purchased Feam Soya Foods, a Chicago-based company that produced grain and plant-based products, for $900. In 1968, Elwood Richard founded NOW Foods. This event marked the beginning of decades of providing discerning consumers with healthy and natural products that go hand in hand with the highest quality. NOW's philosophy is that health is not just for the wealthy—they offer vitamins, supplements, and cosmetics for everyone and for every budget.
